WORLD DAY AGAINST CHILD LABOUR ORGANIZED BY DEPARTMENT OF CHILD HEALTH NURSING AND GENDER SENSITIZATION CELL, YENEPOYA NURSING COLLEGE, YENEPOYA (DEEMED TO BE UNIVERSITY) IN COLLABORATION WITH PADI MANGALURU ON 13 JUNE, 2022

The department of Child Health Nursing and Gender Sensitization Cell of Yenepoya Nursing College, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) in collaboration with PadiMangaluru observed “World day against child labour”. As a part of this day slogan writing and poster competitions were organized for all the students of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) on 10-06-2022 at Yenepoya Nursing College on the theme “Universal social protection to end child labour.” Total 26 students participated in the competition.

A seminar on “Eradicate child labour and protect childhood” was organized on 13-6-2022. The resource person Mr. Renni Dsouza, Director, Padi, Mangaluru explained the various reasons for child labour, problems faced by care taker, helplines to report the child labour, current scenario of child labour. Total 104 UG students, 4 PG students and 5 teachers benefited from this seminar. Dr.Umarani J, Vice Principal welcomed the gathering, Mrs.Janet Prima Miranda, Vice Principal spoke on the importance of the day, Dr.Priya Reshma Aranha delivered the vote of thanks
