NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE WORKSHOP ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS & PATENTS AND DESIGN FILING PROGRAM

The Research and Development Cell of Yenepoya Dental College in association with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Intellectual Property Management (RGNIIPM), Government of India, Nagpur, organized a National level online workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), patents, and design filing. The organizing partners were National IP Awareness Mission (NIPAM) and Institutions Innovation Council (IIC).

The workshop was held online through Google Meet.The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Madhu Babu Bejjam, Assistant controller of patents and designs at RGNIIPM Nagpur.

Dr. Varsha Upadya welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person. In his presentation, the resource person briefed the audience on intellectual property, intellectual property rights, the kind of inventions that can be patented, the process of patenting, and career options as a patent examiner. The presentation was followed by an interactive question and answer session. The Presiding Officer, Dr. Laxmikanth Chatra, Principal of Yenepoya Dental College, congratulated the speaker and gave the concluding remarks. The feedback link was shared with the participants and e-certificates were issued. 110 members participated in the program, including faculty members and students from the host and other institutions.
