Workshop on Disaster Management, First Aid & Mock Drill Organized by Yenepoya Nursing College

An orientation program to Youth Red Cross Volunteers and Workshop on disaster Management including first Aid & mock drill was organized by Yenepoya Nursing College, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) Youth Red Cross and Department of Community Health Nursing in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Dakshina Kannada on 01.04.2022

Hon. Secretary Sri. Kusumadhar B K,IRCS, D.K inaugurated the program and highlighted the role of Red Cross volunteers in serving the society. Dr. Ibrahim Nagnoor, consultant in Community Oncology Yenepoya TATA Onco Center and Professor & HOD, Public Health, Yenepoya Medical College appreciated the initiatives of Youth Red Cross. Dr. Leena KC, Dean, Yenepoya Nursing College in her presidential address stated the importance of conducting workshop for the Youth Red Cross Volunteers. Mr. Sacheth Suvarna, Director, Youth Red Cross/JRC subcommittee, IRCS, Dakshina Kannada was present.

Mr. Bharath Kumar, District Fire Officer, Fire and Safety Office, Mangaluru and his team demonstrated the fire and safety measures through mock drill. Principal said that on the following days First Aid and Disaster Mock drill will be dealt by Mr. Sacheth Suvarna, Mr. Ashwin Kumar, Mr. Ankith & Mr. Ramesh, Deputy Commandant, district Home Guard Office, Mangaluru

Mrs. Pavithra K compeered the program, Mrs. Nithyashree, Nodal Officer of Youth Red Cross Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) welcomed the gathering and Mrs. Jyothi, Program Officer, Yenepoya Nursing College delivered the Vote of thanks.
