YENEPOYA (DEEMED TO BE UNIVERSITY) SIGNS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) WITH NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (NU), OMAN

The Yenepoya (Deemed to be University)and National University of Science and Technology (NU), Oman, signed Memorandum of Understanding on 17th of May 2022 at Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangalore for the purpose of academic and research collaboration, extending health services and strengthening of the relationship between two countries in terms of health, education, research and skill development.

Dr. Ali Saud Al Bimani, Vice Chancellor, National University of Science and Technology (NU), Oman and Dr.M.Vijayakumar,ViceChancellor, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University)signed the MoU during the visit of the delegation to the University in the presence of Mr.Farhaad Yenepoya,Pro Chancellor;
Dr. B.H.Sripathi Rao,Pro Vice Chancellor and Dr. Gangadhara Somayaji, Registrar, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) along with the Deans of the constituent colleges, Centre Heads and the Statutory Officers of the University.

The delegation also included Mr. A Nizamuddin Ahmed – Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Planning), Dr. Saleh Al Khusai by – International Adviser HSA, Prof. Mohammed Shafaee– Dean College of Medicine & Health Sciences, Dr. Khalid – Dean College of Pharmacy, and Dr. Ciraj Ali Mohammed, Professor Microbiology and Deputy Director, CCEID, MAHE, Manipal.

The purpose of this MoU is to enhance co-operation in Medical Education &Research, Health Care Services and Skill development. The MoU also envisages training of students and professionals through skill training programs, research collaborations and consultancy, capacity building and development of certificate courses and short courses for the community. The MoU also ideates the joint collaboration and academic enhancement in Pharmacy programs and research, Ph.D programs, excellence in Global rankings, faculty and student exchange in health and allied sectors, and establishment of joint Centre’s for Excellence in research and training at NU, Oman.
